State of Mind is a statewide theatre and public dialogue tour aimed at community listening, tackling stigmas around mental and behavioral health, sharing resources and exploring strategies for care across our communities.

Michael Rohd
Michael Rohd, a theatre maker, educator & facilitator, has been working at the intersection of culture, community development, local government and public health for over 30 years.

Josh Aaseng
Josh Aaseng is a theatre artist and filmmaker, with over a decade of experience in arts administration. In addition to his work in the arts, Josh served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine, is an avid marathoner and triathlete, and a dedicated dad of two.

At Meadowlark Counseling, the belief is that mental health care should be accessible, responsive, and personalized. The practice provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families, supported by a team of skilled therapists with diverse areas of expertise. This range of specialization allows clients to be matched with the therapist who best fits their needs, while also ensuring timely access to care without long wait times. Meadowlark Counseling is committed to expanding and supporting mental health services across Montana, partnering with organizations and communities to offer resources, increase awareness, and strengthen mental wellness statewide.

Arwen Baxter
Arwen Baxter is an actor, singer-songwriter, citizen scientist, and literary historian. Raised in Idaho and Montana, Arwen received her bachelor's in Theatre and English from the University of Montana in 2022. She currently splits her time between the intermountain west and England, where she has just graduated from the University of York with her master's in English. She had the honor of joining the Montana Rep's 2022 production of "Hearth," and her third album, "Flora of Idaho," is set for release this winter.

Carrie Collier
Carrie Collier has worked on several productions and readings with Montana Repertory Theatre, most recently performing in the site specific show "Hipster Hijinx," where she got to do her favorite thing: play an unhinged, unfiltered old woman. Carrie has performed in plays and short films in Montana, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and she performs semi-regularly with her CA Improv troupe, "Controlled Chaos". She has also done commercials and industrial films, but her first love is being part of an ensemble onstage.

Courtney Davis
Courtney Davis is a performer and designer who works at the intersection of art, design, health and wellness. She has created and performed in, among other places, car dealerships, state capitols, hotel ballrooms, Australian festivals, historic churches and riverside parking lots. Previous collaborators include Sojourn Theatre (Oregon/Touring), The House Theater (Chicago), Miracle Theater (Portland, OR) and Hartbeat Ensemble CT). She lives in Missoula with her husband and two children.

Ean Miles Kessler
Ean Miles Kessler is a playwright, storyteller, and theater educator based in Missoula, MT. As a playwright, his work has been developed with Chicago Dramatists, Naked Angels, and the Playwright’s Center. Off-Off Broadway playwriting credits: Brotherly Love; King’s River; The Bcam; Beautiful Hands; Devil Lay Me Down. Publication: Brotherly Love (“Shorter Faster Funnier,” Vintage Books) and Funny Valentine (“Plays for Two,” Vintage Books). Ean teaches storytelling and playwriting in Missoula with the Lifelong Learning Center, SPARK! Arts, Missoula Public Library, and No Joke Theater; he also facilitates Words & Silence: Playwriting Workshop, an online playwriting workshop.

Kendra Mylnechuk Potter
Kendra Mylnechuk Potter, an enrolled citizen of Lummi Nation, is a theatre artist and filmmaker currently based in Missoula, MT. Her film work has screened at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, NY Human Rights Watch, and other festivals around the world. In the theatre she’s performed all around Montana and nationally. She developed a theatre and storytelling program at N'Kwusm Salish language school with William Yellow Robe, has created and implemented curriculum for Missoula County Public School’s Sparks program on Native American Studies using theatre in education techniques, and has presented work as a keynote and panelist at national and international conferences on personal storytelling, race, creative writing, child welfare, and literary study.

Jackie Vetter
Jackie Vetter is a Theatre/Film Actor and Theatre Director/Producer based in Anaconda, MT. The Founding Artistic Director of Anaconda Ensemble Theatre, she has over 16 years of professional experience, having worked in 10 states and 2 countries over her dynamic career. In addition to theatre, Jackie holds a degree in Psychology, making State of Mind dear to her heart. She hopes that her involvement will help communities understand their mental health resources, and empower change to ripple throughout Montana and beyond.

Sarah Butts is a Social Worker (MSW, SWLC) and theatre artist (MFA). She is excited by the potential theatre has to heal, connect, and transform individuals and communities. She was born and raised in Bigfork, Montana.

Education Specialist
Rosie Seitz Ayers
Rosie Seitz Ayers is a theatre director and teaching artist, originally from Helena, MT. She currently teaches theatre at Sussex School and in the Missoula public schools through SPARK! Arts while also acting, directing, and producing regionally. She is passionate about arts advocacy and has been working in suicide prevention and mental health through Project Tomorrow Montana and many other community organizations since 2019. She holds an MA in Integrated Arts Education from the University of Montana.
